Mr B, a serving officer with H M Forces, approached us for advice as he has run up substantial debts following a marital breakdown and the option of bankruptcy was not possible due to the sensitive nature of his employment. We were able to rearrange his finances and assist him to work out a monthly budget which provided for all of his household expenditure and allowed for ongoing payments to creditors through an Individual Voluntary Arrangement over a five-year period.

Two years later, Mr & Mrs G are in the process of re-mortgaging their property to offer a full and final settlement to creditors, some three years earlier than had originally been anticipated.

Miss C had established a small consultancy business with a partner who had unfortunately left her in substantial debt. We are asked to look at the viablity of the business and found that whilst the partnership had significant debts, the business itself could trade so long as creditors would agree to a moratorium. Miss C entered into an Individual Voluntary Arrangement to repay her creditors £500 per month from future trading profits. The business is now trading successfully and three years into a five year repayment plan, creditors have already been repaid more than half of their outstanding debts.
